Dimitrios Staikos is a PhD candidate in Classical Management & Decision-Making at the Department of Business Administration of National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds two Master’s degrees in Economics, Defense & Security (from the University of the Peloponnese) and in International Relations & Strategic Studies (from Panteion University). After having graduated from the Hellenic Police Academy, he has been serving in various active duty and administrative positions in law enforcement and forensics for more than 20 years. While currently an active forensics expert in firearms ID at Hellenic Police Forensic Science Division, his passion with the practical wisdom of the classics (Xenophon and Plutarch in particular) as well as his deep interest in modern cognitive science are the main driving forces behind his research, in an attempt to highlight the true human creative and foresight potential.
